About R7 and Greg Hastings During Greg Hastings’ 25-year paintball career, he has invented many

PAINT XTREME was founded in 2000 by Lars Herzig, one of the most popular faces in German/Eu-
ropean paintball on and off the field. Lars was actually one of the very first players in Germany end
of the 80’s /early 90’s and quickly became well known for his role as editor of various German maga-
zines (“Paintball Pur”, “Gotcha”, “Paintball7”) and player/manager of the most successful German
team of the 90’s, the “All Stars”. In 1996 he moved to New York where he work
line
played with many kids that later became
very popular and successful as “Ground Zero” (later “NY Xtreme”). It’s a well known story that Pete
“Mr.U.” Utschig won his very first tournament with Lars, the “1996 Cousins Cup”. That year he also
met Greg Hastings for the 1st time and the two are connected with a true friendship since then. So
it was only natural for Lars to become the European distributor for Greg’s product line (Redz and R7)
when he decided in 2000 to give up his job at Lufthansa and found his own paintball company. Today
